Exercise Therapy

Exercise prescription is a key component of physiotherapy treatment. There is significant evidence for the use of exercise in the treatment of many neuromusculoskeletal conditions. Exercise is an important part of your treatment and home exercise programs will be provided. Sometimes load management is part of appropriate exercise prescription. Your physiotherapist may need to advise you on load management to prevent overtraining and injury or to manage your recovery following an injury. The aim of rehabilitation is to manage your symptoms and the capacity of your tissues to tolerate load while progressively increasing the capacity over time.
